Footage You Shot And Never Published
Walkaround video sells cars, which is why somebody at the dealership started shooting it. Right now that same person is also finishing it — joining the clips, dropping the logo on the corner, laying in music and uploading the result, one car at a time. It is an afternoon a week that nobody has, which is why the rest of the footage is still sitting on a phone.
✓We automate that task. Hand us the footage and tell us what a finished video should look like — the editing becomes a process our team builds and runs, not an afternoon of somebody's week.
How The Work Runs
What you hand us
Raw Clips, Nothing Prepared
The videos as they came off the phone, plus your logo and whatever else belongs on screen. We just need the videos. Nobody at the store has to trim them, name them a particular way, or shoot them to a house style first.
What we build
The Edit, Written Once
We set the processing up as an automated task: merge the clips into one video, apply a watermark carrying your dealership's logo or other information, and lay a music overlay underneath. Decided once, then applied identically to every video that follows — which is also what makes the finished ones look like they came from the same dealership.
How it runs
At The Volume Your Lot Turns Over
All of this is done through automated processes, which is the only way the numbers work. A person editing video is a person you can run out of; a process is not, and a heavy week of arrivals costs the same effort at your end as a quiet one — none.
What comes back
Published, Not Just Finished
The processed video can be uploaded to your dealership's YouTube channel and linked on your website through your DMS provider or another process you already run. The job ends with the video visible to a shopper, rather than with a file handed back for somebody to deal with later.
Where A Video Earns Its Keep
A shopper who watches a walkaround has done something no photograph asks of them: they have spent a minute with that specific car. It answers the questions photos cannot — how the paint looks as it moves, what the interior smells expensive enough to be, whether the wheels are as good as the thumbnail suggested. On a vehicle detail page, that minute is the difference between a browse and a phone call.
✓The page it lands on is covered under CarCasm® Websites, and the same team handles the equivalent job on your files rather than your footage — see Data Manipulation.
What It Requires
How this is priced
These processes require specialty servers to process videos. There will be monthly costs in addition to programming fees. These are specialty services, built to fit your dealership's needs.
What we need to quote it
Roughly how many vehicles a month you shoot, how the clips reach us, and what the finished video should look like — watermark, music, and where it has to end up when it is done.
Sitting on footage nobody has had time to finish? Send us a couple of clips and we will tell you what a finished one costs.
Or email support@carcasm.com and a real person will read it.
