The Website And The Inventory Are One System
Most dealership websites are a brochure with a feed bolted to the side — the site built by one company, the stock managed in another, and the two introduced to each other by an overnight file. A CarCasm® website is the front of the system that already holds your inventory. The cars a shopper searches through are the same records your staff works with, so there is no gap between them for a car to fall into.
✓Start from our library of responsive designs, all of them live dealership sites you can click through today. The one you choose is re-skinned to your logo, your colours and your photography before it goes anywhere near your customers.
What You Get, Page By Page
Before you go live
A Design, Re-Skinned To You
You pick a design from the library, and it is then rebuilt in your identity — your logo, your colour palette, your photography of your lot. What launches should look like your dealership, not like a template somebody recoloured on the way past.
On every screen size
One Responsive Site, Not A Mobile Version
Every design is responsive: the same pages reflow for a phone, a tablet and a desk monitor. There is no separate mobile site drifting out of step with the real one — which matters, because most of the people walking your lot in the evening are doing it from the sofa on a phone.
On the home page
The Home Page Is Yours To Change
Your home page is a page you edit, not a layout you inherit and live with. Change the message at the top, feature what you need to move this month, add a section when the season turns and take it down when it is over — without asking anybody's permission or waiting on a queue.
Across the navigation
The Menu Your Shoppers Follow
Navigation is yours to arrange: add the page you just wrote, rename an item that never made sense, group things under a heading, or pull a link when the promotion ends. The menu is not a structure we set once at launch and you work around afterwards.
On the search results page
Where The Shopping Actually Happens
Your search results page is where a shopper narrows a lot full of cars down to two, and it is editable as well — what introduces the page, what surrounds the results, what sits alongside the vehicles. On most dealership sites this is the page nobody is allowed to touch. Here it is just another page.
On a vehicle detail page
The Page That Closes The Car
The vehicle detail page is the last thing standing between a shopper and picking up the phone, and it is under your control too. Put the reassurance, the finance prompt or the call to action your buyers respond to where you want it, and it applies across your stock rather than car by car.
See Them Running First
We would rather you clicked through a real one than read about it here. Every design in the library is a working dealership website with real inventory in it, and they are all open to you on the Available Designs page. Look at how the search behaves, open a vehicle, use it on your phone. If none of them is right, our programmers are on staff and build to fit.
✓Once it is live, the day-to-day is yours: see CMS Management for editing the pages themselves, and Widget Management for the components you drop into them.
What It Requires
What we need from you
Your logo, your colours and your photography — and a feed of your inventory out of whichever system you already run it in. The site displays your stock, so it needs your stock. That feed is the one piece that has to be in place before anything can go live, and getting it flowing is the first thing we do.
On our side
Pricing is quoted per dealership rather than read off a rate card, because what you need built is not what the dealership down the road needs. Call us and we will talk about your actual site — and about who is doing the work, since our programmers are on staff rather than outsourced.
Running the inventory is the hard part, and you already do it. The website should be the easy part.
Or email support@carcasm.com and a real person will read it.
