CarCasm® Is Partnered With CARFAX®
A shopper deciding between two cars on your lot is really deciding which one they trust. CARFAX® Snapshot puts the history in front of them at the moment they are looking at the vehicle — on the search results page, on the vehicle detail page, and side by side in the comparison tool — instead of asking them to leave and go find it.
✓If your dealership already runs a CARFAX® account, the reports are paid for. Snapshot is about where that information appears.
What Your Shopper Sees
On the search results page
History On Hover
Hovering the CARFAX® logo on a vehicle card opens the key history points for that specific car — the same summary that sits in the header of the full report. The preview is drawn by CARFAX®'s own script, so what a shopper reads is CARFAX®'s data, not our retelling of it.
On a one-owner car
One-Owner Badging
A vehicle whose history shows a single owner gets the CARFAX® 1-Owner badge rather than the standard one. It is a distinction shoppers already know how to read, and it is applied from the vehicle's history — nobody on your staff has to remember to set it.
On every listing
Your Own Partner Code
Each vehicle links to its own CARFAX® report, and the link carries your dealership's partner code. The traffic you send to CARFAX® is credited to your account rather than disappearing into a generic link.
Everywhere they look
Search, Detail And Compare
The badging follows the vehicle through the whole shopping path: search results, the vehicle detail page, and the comparison view where two cars are set against each other. That last one is where history usually decides it.
✓These are the badges your shoppers already recognise from everywhere else they have looked at a used car. On your site they are attached to your inventory, pointing at your reports.
Not Only On Your Own Site
CARFAX® is also somewhere your cars can be listed. The same inventory that feeds your website can be exported to CARFAX® alongside the other marketplaces you already advertise on — AutoTrader, CarGurus and Facebook Marketplace among them — from the one set of vehicle records, so a car that sells stops being advertised everywhere at once.
✓See Inventory Monitor for how the feeds in and the listings out are tracked run by run.
What It Requires
Required notice from CARFAX®
Snapshot is a service offered by CARFAX® that accompanies an active CARFAX® account. Call your CARFAX® representative or call CarCasm for any additional information.
On our side
Snapshot is switched on per dealership. Nothing is injected into your pages until your CARFAX® account is active and the feature is enabled for your site — and when it is, the badges appear across your existing inventory without anything being rebuilt.
Already paying for CARFAX® reports? Then the data is yours already. Let us put it where your shoppers are looking.
Or email support@carcasm.com and a real person will read it.
